Verdict Against the State Upheld

Bobby Morris was serving a life sentence at the Iowa State Penitentiary when he brutally assaulted his wife Mary Morris during a prison visit. Together with the Plumb Law Firm, we sued the State of Iowa for negligent operation of the visiting room. Mary obtained a judgment of one hundred seventy four thousand dollars ($174,000.00) at trial. The state appealed, but the Judgment was upheld on October 14, 2015.

This case is an example of a significant victory for an injured victim after a long uphill battle.
